Family photography, for me, is about more than gathering everyone together and asking them to smile. It is about preserving the connection, personalities and little moments that make your family yours.
During your session, I offer gentle direction when it’s helpful, while leaving space for the moments that happen naturally between you — a child’s curiosity, a quiet embrace, laughter that catches you by surprise, or the familiar way you reach for one another.
Whether you are visiting Tokyo on holiday or making your home here, I will create a collection of photographs that tells the story of your family as you are now — beautifully, honestly and with care.

I’m a Japanese photographer based in Tokyo, with an international perspective shaped by many years living abroad. I know this city intimately, while also understanding what it feels like to experience Tokyo through fresh eyes.
That perspective is especially meaningful for families visiting Japan. I can help you choose locations and create a session that feels personal to your family, while sharing the quieter, more beautiful corners of Tokyo along the way.

FAQ
I am camera shy! What's your advice?
I completely understand — I am much more comfortable behind the camera myself! Our pre-session consultation gives us an opportunity to connect face-to-face before your session, and I’ll provide gentle guidance throughout so you always feel comfortable and know what to do.
We will chat, laugh and take our time. There is no expectation to perform for the camera — I simply want to create space for your family to relax and be yourselves.
How shall I prepare for the session - for example, what shall I wear?
I will go through all the details, wardrobe suggestions, location, the theme and concept of the session during our pre-session consultation meeting so you feel fully prepared and confident for your session!
How far in advance shall I book you?
Ideally please get in touch 1 - 2 months in advance if possible to avoid disappointment. Most of my family sessions take place during week days (especially during the summer we can make the most out of the longer evenings). For outdoor sessions, taking it during golden hour (two hours after sunrise or two hours before sunset) is the best! There is a 20% surcharge for weekend bookings.
What do I do if my kids aren’t behaving or the baby keeps crying?
I have photographed many families with babies and young children, so I know that things don’t always go according to plan — and as a mum to a four-year-old myself, I know this all too well!
I will keep the session relaxed and playful, following your child’s pace rather than forcing anything. If they need a break, a snack, a cuddle or simply some time to reset, we’ll take it. There is no pressure for everyone to be perfectly behaved — the real moments are often the ones I love photographing most.
Can we get the RAW (unedited and straight off the camera) photos?
The editing process is an essential part of my style and art. A RAW (unprocessed) photo is flatter, less saturated, and duller than edited images (not to mention they are enormously large files and need a special photography software to just open the file). The RAW file contains all the raw data so that I can make edits to them to create the look you see on my website and in the photos you receive. RAW files are essentially an incomplete piece of work, which is why I cannot send them to you.
When do we get the photos?
All the edited images will become available for download via your personal online gallery approximately 3 - 4 weeks after your session date. The albums and products will be delivered to you a few weeks after you receive your personal online gallery.
